PRESS RELEASE

Floral Roundabout partners with St Richard’s Hospice for Grow Your Dough initiative

Floral Roundabout, the well-known florists in Worcester, proudly announces its participation as one of the first signatories in St Richard’s Hospice’s innovative Grow Your Dough initiative. This partnership will launch on Monday 16th September with a #FreeFlowerFriday competition open to all locals.

CAPTION: L-R St Richards Hospice's Ria Simons with Floral Roundabout's Jenny White at the launch of the local Grow Your Dough initiative: Free Flower Friday.

St Richard’s Hospice launched Grow Your Dough to engage local businesses in fundraising activities that directly benefit the hospice's essential services. The initiative allows businesses to kickstart fundraising with an initial £40 investment, encouraging creativity in generating further contributions. Ria Simons, Corporate Fundraising Lead at St Richard’s Hospice, expressed enthusiasm for Floral Roundabout’s early commitment, stating: "We are thrilled to have Floral Roundabout on board as one of our inaugural participants in Grow Your Dough. Their creative competition – Free Flower Friday - will inspire others to get involved and make a real difference to our fundraising efforts."

Floral Roundabout has chosen to utilise the £40 investment to launch a heartwarming local competition. Starting 16th September 2024, and running for 12 weeks, locals are invited to nominate individuals that they wish to celebrate or express gratitude towards. Each Friday, until 29th November 2024, the Worcestershire (only) winners will receive a beautiful bouquet courtesy of Floral Roundabout – the nominators’ donations will go to a Just Giving account in order to Grow the original Dough - in aid of St Richard’s Hospice.

Jenny White, Manager at Floral Roundabout in Sidbury, encourages the local community to participate, saying: "We’re excited to launch this competition and encourage everyone in Worcester to nominate someone special in their lives. It’s a wonderful opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a beautiful bouquet and raise money for St Richard’s Hospice."
